Changing Seats (セキガエ, Sekigae) is the sixty sixth chapter of the Nisekoi manga series written and illustrated by Naoshi Komi, published weekly in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump.

Summary[]

Winter break ends, and the third trimester of the second year begins. Kyoko announces that since she forgot to do it earlier, they will be changing seats. Chitoge is afraid that she won't sit next to Raku anymore, but feigns delight. They randomly draw to decide the seating. The draw results in Kosaki, Marika, Tsugumi, Ruri, Shū, and Raku sitting next to each other. However, Chitoge ends up sitting on the other side of the room, surrounded by boys and two students she has never talked to before, Yamada and Gorisawa.

Some boys in the class call for a re-do since they are not near girls, and, surprisingly, Kyoto agrees to a redraw since they have a "sense of student independence". After several redraws and complaints, Raku ends up sitting next to Kosak as the final result.

Raku and Kosaki are overjoyed to be sitting next to each other, and Ruri encourages Kosaki to make the most of it. However, Kosaki and Raku are nervous to be near each other and act very nervous around each other, such as jumping when they both reach for an eraser and not sharing books because of embarrassing drawings. However, Kyoko announces that they will have one last seat change at the end of class as punishment for making up so many excuses. In the final drawing they are paired into three groups: Shū and Ruri, Marika and Tsugumi, and Chitoge, Raku and Kosaki.
