Friend (トモダチ, Tomodachi) is the eighty fourth chapter of the Nisekoi manga series written and illustrated by Naoshi Komi, published weekly in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump.
Summary[]
In a flashback, Shū remembers Kyoko telling him he is mature, and that he shouldn't let his youth go to waste. In the present, Kyoko announces to the class that she will be getting married, and that will be her last month teaching. The whole class celebrates, with Shū seeming ecstatic as well.
Later on, Raku and Shū are on the roof, talking about Kyoko's marriage and her leaving. The conversation turns to who Shū likes, in which Shū admits that he likes Kyoko in a joking manner. Raku states that although Shū acts nonchalant, he actually is deeply saddened about Kyoko leaving. Shū explains that he liked Kyoko since they entered high school, and Raku asks if he is going to confess his feelings for her. Shū says he won't tell Kyoko his feelings, and he'll let his unrequited love die out, since it would only cause trouble for Kyoko.
As Raku leaves the roof, he ponders what he would do in Shū's situation, and if he would be okay with not telling the girl he liked his feelings. Raku then goes to Tsugumi for advice. Raku asks Tsugumi what she would do if the person she liked got married to someone else, and Tsugumi replies she would accept the marriage and not say her true feelings.
In class, the kids gather around Kyoko and ask her about her marriage and her fiancé. Ruri watches Shū and notes that something feels off to her.
After a time skip, Shū stands on the roof with Raku the day before Kyoko leaves. Raku says that he'll support Shū's love, regardless of what he chooses to do. Raku offers to treat Shū to a meal, since that's all he can do. On the day that Kyoko is supposed to leave, Tsugumi stops Raku in the hallway to tell him something.
